Searchie 2.0 Explained

As you may know, I’m a major Searchie evangelist. It changed my business and my life over the past few years! And it’s changed the lives of many of my clients, too! One of the best things about Searchie is the way that its leadership listens to the users and creates valuable improvements on an ongoing basis.

Continual additions and improvements are great, but there comes a time when a major overhaul is needed. In the case of this update, the Searchie team reworked the system from the ground up. This is necessary to create a solid foundation for future features. Initially, Searchie was created to be searchable videos. And then many of us clamored for more… and the Searchie team delivered. Then, they quickly realized that a rebuild was needed to support the ever-growing list of needs for the platform to deliver even more. So, not only is 2.0 created for us NOW, it’s created for the FUTURE—even better things to come!

This summer, Searchie 2.0 was officially rolled out, and it’s better than ever! Don’t worry—this update makes Searchie even easier to use than ever (and it was already easy!). Here’s an explanation of the new features and changes:

Your Searchie Account Dashboard Shows You the Big Picture

When you log into Searchie 2.0, you’ll first come to your account dashboard. This interface gives you a birds-eye view of your entire Searchie world. You’ll see recent activity, like any new members who have joined your Hubs, recent viewing activity, and recent searches.

This is the place where you’ll add new users , create a new Hub, see recently added content, and monitor audience activity. To make things clear and easy, Searchie has added “Getting Started” checklists here to guide you step-by-step as you create a new Hub and more.

Hubs Dashboard

Next, you can access your Hubs Dashboard, where you can view all your Hubs in one place. Some people have only one Hub, but if you’re anything like me or my clients, you find that your collection keeps growing as you learn how easy Searchie makes it to bring your knowledge to the marketplace. This dashboard mirrors the Searchie Dashboard. It gives you an overview of activity in the Hub and has a “Getting Started” checklist for the Hub.

The Hub Editor Saves Tons of Time

In Searchie 1.0, a user would make changes to the back end of the Hub, save the changes, and then preview the changes. You had to move back and forth between the Searchie library and the Hub to create and edit content. This could take a lot of time!

In Searchie 2.0’s Hub Editor, there’s a streamlined flow for creating your Hub and the way to do so is all in your Hub.

Then, there are some new icons that help you move quickly—this truly is one of my favorite features! Simply click any section in your Hub and you’ll be presented with the settings for that element—all while remaining in Hub preview mode! The gear icon (which I always refer to as “the wheel”) is the best—I always tell my members that “it keeps you going.” When in doubt, take the wheel!

With these new tools, make your changes and then instantly see how it looks. This is a huge timesaver!

The Hub Content Tab Makes Playlist Building a Snap

In Searchie 1.0, you had to go to multiple tabs such as media, folders, playlists, and Hub tabs in order to create a playlist. No more! Now, creating a playlist is as simple as going to the Hub Content Tab to see all your playlists and easily create new ones.

Your Searchie Content Library is a Gold Mine

The amount of content that you’ll upload to Searchie over time can boggle the mind—and it requires easy organization! In the Library Tab of Searchie 2.0, you can access all that content and maximize your utilization of it. From here, you can easily move your content from one folder to another to make it easy for you to remember where things are and access it easily from your Hub.

Keep Tabs on Your People with the Audience Tab

Searchie 2.0’s Audience Tab is the place to go to add, organize, and share content with your audience members. Searchie gives you the freedom to segment an unlimited number of audience members into an unlimited number of segments! This allows you to create a powerful, personalized experience for your audience members. Using the filter tool here, you can create just about any scenario imaginable! Group together annual users, monthly users, founding members, etc.

Manage Integrations Easily in the Apps Tab

As you may know, Searchie integrates with tons of Apps and platforms, like Zoom, Stripe, Facebook, Vimeo, and thousands more. In fact, Searchie puts no limit on how many integrations you can have! The new Apps Tab in Searchie 2.0 makes it easy to keep a tab (no pun intended) on all these integrations: adding new ones and managing current ones.

Searchie 2.0 Gives You More Design Choices

There are a slew of new “appearance” functions you can play with in Searchie 2.0 to make your Hub your own, really stand out and connect with your users. For example, you can adjust the padding (the space around your sections), the look of your buttons, drop shadows, borders, animation, and more! The end result is an even more professional look for your Hub.

Only for You!

The changes with Searchie 2.0 only affect you, not your end user. This is really a “back-of-the-house” adjustment. Your audience members will never know Searchie has made an upgrade.

Searchie 2.0—They Made a Great Thing Even Better

I was head-over-heels happy with Searchie 1.0, but Searchie 2.0 is even better! I’m so grateful to the Searchie team for consistently striving to provide me with an excellent experience.

Have you tried Searchie 2.0 yet? If not, what are you waiting for?
