Top 12 Inspirational Searchie Membership Hubs
Memberships are fast becoming the best way to serve specific niches. Hosting a membership site allows you to gather your true fans and deliver them education, stimulation, fellowship, and resources month after month.
It’s no wonder that memberships are being created on Searchie at an ever-increasing clip: Searchie makes it a snap for entrepreneurs to create and host their memberships, and it makes it a true pleasure for the clients to consume the content.
I hosted an online meeting called “Searchie Show-n-Tell” at the end of May 2021, taking you on a mini-tour of 12 exceptional Searchie membership sites. Here they are, as well as the ways they can inspire us:
1) Caryl Fine Art: The Painterly Way membership
Caryl Pomales is a client of mine. I am proud to have helped her migrate her membership, The Painterly Way, from Kajabi to Searchie. Using tagging, Caryl allows her founding members to see all the older content, while this remains unseen to members who just joined during her June relaunch.
Caryl uses her striking original artwork as one-of-a-kind thumbnails for her sections and videos. It’s perfect branding, not to mention gorgeous! This is good food for thought: Is your business one where a custom thumbnail image would be appropriate? It’s not necessary or applicable to all businesses, but for businesses with a visual component, this is a great idea!
2) Sherry Jibb: Balanced Midlife Membership for Women
Sherry Jibb helps women in midlife maintain physical and mental health. Her membership program, Balanced Midlife, is an inspirational Searchie membership site for anyone offering physical training.
After a site tour video (always a great idea!), participants can select videos by the length of the workout (30 minutes, for example), fitness level of participant (such as “beginner,” intermediate,” or “everyone”), and modality (yoga, pilates, and the like—these modalities are also color-coded for ease). Using tagging, each video can exist in all three of these playlists at once. How might this type of tagging work for your content?
3) Wendi Hutton: Life Coach Prosperity Hub
Are you a life coach? If so, check out Wendi Hutton’s Life Coach Prosperity Hub, a membership for life coaches. Wendi helps coaches connect with each other and collaborate.
Her Hub is a useful example of a learning path plus extras. There are playlists that take the participant through the learning path, but there are also “extras” that coaches at all stages of the learning path can use, such as “How to set up a Facebook group” and “How to create an effective LinkedIn page.”
4) Sarah Fuhrmann: UCanRow2 Coaching Crew
The sport of rowing crew is more popular than ever! Sarah Fuhrmann is filling the need for trained crew coaches with her membership for current and prospective crew coaches, UCanRow2 Coaching Crew.
One thing I noted during Searchie Show-n-Tell is that Sarah only had the first two stages of her learning path completed and loaded. That’s a powerful example of the fact that you don’t have to have all the parts in place before you launch! By the time the participants get to those “coming soon” stages of the learning path, the educational content will be complete and ready. Think about it: Do you have enough content to start your launch—NOW?
Sarah’s members can enjoy training, coaching calls, Q&A replays, masterclasses with guest speakers, and workouts. They can also search the site by topic.
5) Kris Prochaska: Align Your Design
Kris Prochaska is both an artist and a specialist in the field of Human Design. She combines both these fields in her Searchie Hub, Align Your Design.
Nestled in this landing page is a learning path that informs the reader and leads them to a point where they can choose to buy a related online course. This learning path is helpful, because Kris’ prospective clients have widely varying degrees of familiarity with Human Design.
This is a good example of educating the prospective client as part of the sales process. It’s also another beautiful example of using of original, relevant art for thumbnails!
6) Nan Sterman: Waterwise Gardening School Membership
Nan Sterman has used Searchie to create something really cool: an online gardening school! This membership offers a welcome video and site tour (these are always a nice and helpful touch), an assessment, a learning path, community links, a calendar, and more.
Nan features two timely items in her “What’s New” section: a plant of the month and monthly garden tasks—perfect for gardeners! It makes it so easy for gardeners to reference these and learn what’s blooming this month and what gardening tasks they should be doing.
This is another membership with “coming soon” thumbnails in place. Rather than feeling frustrated by content not being there now, members have a feeling of excited anticipation that more content is on the way. In fact, it emphasizes that this is a dynamic membership that is constantly adding content.
Nan uses tagging to allow only her founding members (adorably named the Early Birds) to access Zoom call replays from the past.
7) Renee Dominguez: The Y.E.S. Lab
Renee Dominguez is an inspiring leader! Her mission is to coach women to be the badass high-achievers they were born to be. She does this with her LeadHERship business, which includes a membership called The Y.E.S. Lab.
There are two things I want to highlight about Renee’s Hub, which is as dynamic as she is:
The branding is gorgeous and completely consistent within the Hub and in relation to her other areas of online presence, such as her Instagram account.
Renee uses Circle rather than Facebook for her community forum. Yes, there are alternatives to Facebook!
8) Katie Pitts: Rested Exclusive Membership (REM)
Katie Pitts and her team help tired parents get their kids to sleep through the night. Her business, Sleepwise Consultants, offers coaching, instruction, and support through the cleverly-named membership, Rested Exclusive Membership (REM). See what they did there?
Katie’s clients are busy, tired parents—they need to find the information they’re looking for, FAST. The membership Hub is thus set up for easy access: Members can search for information by child age (like “toddler”) or topic (such as “naps”). There are also deep dives into particular topics and guest lectures by parenting experts.
There are three aspects of Katie’s membership Hub that are particularly inspiring.
There is a button for parents to use when they want to submit a question to Katie. She found that this was the fastest way for them to submit an in-the-moment question.
When Katie polled her members about what they wanted, they expressed a desire to get to know other members. So she added “Get to Know REM Members,” a part of the Hub where members can upload and watch videos of members introducing themselves to the group.
Members place a high level of faith in Katie and her company, so there is a level of authority. In response to this, Katie has included a “Favorite Products” section where she recommends parenting products (gaining some affiliate income in the process).
9) Patricia Dent: Ask for Directions Membership
Patricia Dent helps businesses to get up and running! Her Ask for Directions membership serves as an educational and supportive community for fledgling businesses.
Patricia’s learning path has three steps: Setting up your business, Growing your business, and Pivoting Your Established Business. Incoming members take an assessment to determine where in the learning path they belong.
The membership Hub provides members with access to Patricia’s course as well as resources, community, a calendar, and a link for support.
10) Jacqueline Steudler: Healing Hearts Collective
Jacqueline Steudler’s business, Healing for Grieving Hearts has an important and powerful mission: to help people heal from the loss of a loved one.
Members have access to the “Foundations” success path, group coaching call replays, a link to their community group, and a “Compassionate Actions Library.”
The Compassionate Actions Library is a page with links to categorized playlists for areas of healing, such as “Movement” and “Gratefulness.”
It’s inspiring to see the good work being done by businesses using Searchie!
11) Ana Christina Rosa: Academia Instutores D’Elite
Ana Christina Rosa has a cool niche for her membership: She helps Portuguese teachers grow their businesses! She has a beautifully-branded Hub that I can’t read because I don’t speak Portuguese, but she’s a great example of something you may not be aware of: Searchie works in languages other than English!
12) Amy Barg: Women Growing on Purpose
Amy Barg is an impactful life coach for women. Her membership, Women Growing on Purpose, is hosted on a Searchie Hub that begins with a warm welcome message.
Amy is another membership host who has chosen not to use Facebook to host her community interaction: she uses GroupMe. It’s nice to see that there are alternatives to Facebook!
The membership Hub holds replays of Zoom coaching calls, a calendar, and instructional content.
A unique thing about Amy is that she has chosen to offer her members a survey rather than an assessment. There are so many ways to serve your members with Searchie!
Lastly, Amy’s new course, Growing on Purpose Academy, will also be hosted on her membership site.
Your Membership Belongs on Searchie!
I hope that these inspirational membership sites powered by Searchie have motivated you to create your own membership using Searchie! There’s no end to what you can do.
