How Canva Pro Helps You Uplevel Searchie

As you may know, Searchie (the best platform for hosting and managing large amounts of video and other content) has some integrations with other platforms that make creating your Searchie Hub—and running your online business—better and faster. One of these integrations is with Canva.

Have you used Canva or Canva Pro to create graphics for your business? It’s an incredibly easy to use online and app-based graphics program. Canva makes it possible for non-graphic designers like you and me to create graphics that look like a pro designed them.

How Does Canva Help You Uplevel Your Searchie Hub?

Searchie’s integration with Canva allows you to create or insert Canva graphics directly into your Searchie Hub without even leaving the platform. No jumping around between open tabs or doing a download-upload cycle. It’s a true integration.

Canva allows you to create branded and professional media thumbnails, so your users can clearly understand what they’re clicking on. The branding (such as colors, fonts, logos, or other imagery) reassures them that they’re with an organized and reputable source. Canva also lets you create thumbnails for your Searchie Hub Playlists.

You can also use the Canva integration as you design your Searchie Hub as a whole. For example, Canva is helpful with designing your Hub login page, Hub section thumbnails, and Hub background images. This can create a unified design throughout all the parts of your Searchie Hub.

Canva has lots of templates (and if you do like I do and select Canva Pro, you have over 450,000 templates to choose from). I suggest finding a template that has different sizes and formats and customizing it to your brand. This way, all of your graphics—from social media posts to Searchie Playlist thumbnails—will all have a similar look and feel.

How Does the Searchie/Canva Integration Actually Work?

First, select a file in your Searchie that needs a thumbnail. When you click on the file, you’ll be taken to the File Manager. Next, click the “Thumbnail” option in the file manager and select “Design on Canva” to open the Canva integration (I’m assuming you’ve created a Canva account before this time).

From here you can either select a thumbnail that you’ve previously created in Canva or you can grab your template and create the thumbnail in the moment. If you have Canva Pro, you will have the ability to create folders for your Canva assets, which makes storing templates and already-created files super easy. Then just hit “Publish” to assign the thumbnail to your media file. That was easy!

Do I Need Canva Pro to Integrate with Searchie?

You can absolutely use the free version of Canva with this integration. However, I find Canva Pro (at $119 yearly at time of writing this post) to be well worth the cost. Canva Pro gives you more storage space (100GB), over 450,000 templates, 3000 fonts, and 75 million images/videos/audio files. Canva Pro users can also create Brand Kits to easily store brand colors, fonts, and imagery. The Brand Kits and the folders allow you to create quickly and easily keep to your brand style guide.

Searchie just keeps getting better and better—and I feel that Canva does, too! They’re a match made in heaven for busy online entrepreneurs like us. Speaking of being busy, if you simply don’t have the bandwidth to create the Searchie Hub you’ve been dreaming of, I can help. My Build My Searchie Hub VIP Program takes this task off your plate so you can stay working in your zone of genius. I can even create your initial Canva assets, so you can simply copy and alter them in the future as you manage your Searchie Hub!
