Yes, ConvertKit and Searchie Play Well Together!
I love ConvertKit for my email marketing. You too? If you’ve harnessed the power of ConvertKit to attract, convert, and maintain your audience, you don’t need to give it up when you start using Searchie to deliver your course, membership, or program. They get along great!
Or if you’re already up and using Searchie for your course, membership, or sales page, but you’re looking for a better email marketing solution, read on to find out why switching to ConvertKit is a great idea (and why July is the best time to make the switch!).
Stripe is the Mutual Friend of Searchie and ConvertKit
There’s nothing better than a mutual friend to make new connections go smoothly, right? If you’re using Stripe for payment processing in ConvertKit or Searchie, then making a playdate between the two is going to be a snap.
There’s a webhook (just a fancy way to say the two talk to each other nicely—don’t be put off by the jargony word!) between Stripe and Searchie that allows information to pass directly between the two platforms. And it works both ways:
If you set up a new client via Searchie, the information will pass through Stripe to your ConvertKit list.
If you use ConvertKit to gain that new client, their payment will go through Stripe and then, you’ll use a Zap to set them up in your Searchie audience.
This is done easily and seamlessly.
If you’re not using the webhook, a caveat that I’d like to point out is that if you have more than one Searchie Hub and you want to do segmented email audiences, this isn’t the best solution: Searchie will pass all of the new clients to ConvertKit without filtering them into segments.
No Stripe? No Problem!
I get it—some folks are not Stripe users. That doesn’t mean ConvertKit and Searchie can’t get along great! You just need to create a new go-between using Zapier.
Let’s say you’re using ConvertKit for your sales page, but the payment processor is something other than Stripe. Simply create a Zap workflow that has a new successful purchase as the triggering event. What does it trigger? The addition of your new client as a member of your Searchie Hub (course, membership, program) with the appropriate audience tag.
What about going in the opposite direction? Yep, you can absolutely create a Zap workflow that will add your new client’s email to your ConvertKit list when they join your Searchie Hub.
