This Coach Grows Using Searchie’s Personalized Functions

Amy Barg is my friend, a member in my membership, and my client. She’s an accomplished and inspiring coach, speaker, and trainer. Amy coaches women who are facing transitional pivot points in their lives and who want to go from living by default to living by design.

In my interview with Amy, she told me that when she first heard about Searchie, she knew that it would be a powerful tool for her business, and she jumped right in. However, she soon decided that she’d like to proceed with some support. She joined my Hub Up! four-day workshop, and within a week she had her membership up and running!

 

Creating a Personalized Searchie Hub

During Hub Up!, Amy learned how to create her own thumbnails as images in Canva. The result? Amy’s Hub features gorgeous templates featuring flowers from her own garden—the perfect metaphor for the blossoming and growth that her clients experience during their work with her!

Searchie Hub that is Rich with Content and Options

Amy made smart use of one of Searchie’s newest features, the podcast function, allowing her clients to consume the educational modules in podcast format. She loves how Searchie lets the client choose how they’d prefer to access the content: video, transcript, or audio.

There’s a robust membership content section in this Hub, allowing Amy’s members to access their learning path modules, recordings of the group Zoom calls, bonus material, and their Midweek Mindset (inspirational memes). When Amy first began posting Midweek Mindset memes, she relied on memes she found on the Internet. After I taught her how to create her own using Canva, she was off and running! The memes she creates herself use her own powerful words and either photos from Amy’s personal collection or stock photos. I love how Amy jumps into the driver’s seat and takes off!

Using Searchie (and Integrated apps) to Serve Members Well

Amy chose not to use Facebook for her community interaction platform. Instead, a link on her Hub takes members to GroupMe. If you’re researching community interaction apps, check out GroupMe—it integrates well with Searchie.


Here’s a clever idea: Amy’s Hub has a survey section (made using Bucket.io) where she regularly polls her members. It’s a smart way to gather more information about her members and solicit feedback.

Testimonial Interviews that Inspire Members—and Prospects

Another inspiring part of the Hub is Amy’s Growth Stories interviews. These interviews with members sharing the story of their growth journeys help build a sense of community, inspire Amy’s members, and can be used as part of Amy’s marketing funnel to show her proven results. Think about how this could be applied to your Hub—there’s nothing more powerful than your satisfied clients’ words, and video adds an extra layer of authenticity.

Embed a Course into a Membership Site

In addition to her membership, Amy has a standalone course, Growing on Purpose Academy. She wondered if she had to build a separate Hub for the course for nonmembers who enroll in the course. Thanks to Searchie’s tagging/segmenting feature, Amy was able to put her course into her membership Hub and then simply tag the course-only users so the course is all they see when they reach the Hub. Done and done!

The Growth Coach Says Searchie is a Great Growth Experience!

Amy shows by example how an entrepreneur can jump into Searchie, get support where needed, and then run with it. Her advice to those considering Searchie is to go for it! She says, “We feel comfortable when things are certain, but we feel most alive when they’re not. If you feel uncertain, celebrate it—it means you’re getting ready to grow.”
