This Social Media Entrepreneur Generates Business with Searchie Landing Page
Jerry Potter never dreamed he’d be an entrepreneur. But after his YouTube channel Five Minute Social Media exploded in popularity, he saw that he was filling a real need in the marketplace.
Jerry was an early adopter of Searchie. At first, he was drawn to Searchie for the usefulness of searchable video. But when Searchie released Hubs, Jerry went all-in on Searchie.
He Uses Searchie as His Lead Magnet
In my interview with Jerry, he shows us how he has used Searchie to create a “live lead magnet” consisting of quick-fix, high-value instructional videos. He refers to it as a live lead magnet because he can add new videos to it and then notify everyone who signed up for it that there is new content available, adding another positive impression. Jerry originally offered this lead magnet as a free opt-in, but later he made it a low-cost paid item.
Searchie Tagging Eliminates Confusion and Overwhelm
The goal of Jerry’s lead magnet is to give prospects a taste of his valuable content to lead them to sign up for his membership, Five Minute Social Academy, or his premium coaching program, Streamliners Club. In our interview, Jerry shows us the Hub he uses for both of these programs, using tagging to make sure that each client sees only what they signed up for to eliminate confusion.
Searchie Helps Jerry Remain Nimble in His Business
One major takeaway from my interview with Jerry is that he’s a good example of staying nimble with Searchie. Jerry is not afraid to try something out and then change it later. And you shouldn’t be, either! With Searchie, it’s easy to try things, create things, change things, or even delete things. Rather than holding back and waiting for things to be perfect or guaranteed to succeed, entrepreneurs like Jerry dive in and see what works.
When asked for his advice to new Searchie users, Jerry’s first piece of advice is to get videos in there! He points out that it’s hard to envision the Hub without something to go in it. He also advises us to look at other people’s Hubs for ideas and inspiration. That’s why I share all these great Searchie Success videos!
