Getting More Profit from Your Searchie Offerings with a Digital Product
Using Searchie to Scale Your Online Business
Searchie is a terrific platform for sharing your knowledge and expertise with your audience. You can offer an online course, monthly membership, and/or 1:1 coaching via Searchie. How do you scale your business with Searchie? First, you can vary your offerings so that you cover three methods of delivery. For example, if you already have a Searchie online course, then add a membership. If you have a membership and course, be sure to add 1:1 coaching at a premium price.
By diversifying in this way, you become more and more recognized as an authority in your field while allowing your audience to choose the level of service and price point that suits them best. It allows you to make money by serving people who want your expertise: an evergreen course where you have no direct contact with the learner is at a lower price point but provides passive income, while a monthly membership provides regular income but requires a degree of attention and interaction as you add new content and support your members; and finally a 1:1 or group coaching offering will require you to directly serve clients for a premium price.
A Digital Product Can Be a Profitable Add-on
Creating a digital product can be an effective add-on sale, lead magnet, or standalone sale. What do I mean by a digital product? Here are some ideas:
An e-book
A planning calendar
A checklist
A resource guide
A toolkit
A directory
A tutorial
A roadmap to a specific goal
A framework
As you can imagine, these can have wildly varying price points: for example, a 200-page book would cost more than a 10-page toolkit. Before you create your digital product, consider what the price point will be and keep that in mind as you create it. For example, if you plan to sell your 12-month marketing calendar for $14.99, you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars of time and resources to create it—you’d have to sell a lot of the calendars just to break even! Rather than making it super “designy,” perhaps you’ll keep the look a bit more bare bones.
Speaking of designing and creating these digital products, Canva is a great resource. Find a template on Canva that you can customize with your branding, and you’ll be able to create a good-looking digital product without hiring a graphic designer.
Put that Digital Product to Work for You!
Whether you take out ads for a digital product that will introduce new audience members to your brand or add it as an extra option for folks who are signing up for your online course, make sure that you milk all of the income you can from the digital product you created. You put in the time to make a high-quality product, so get the most from your investment and share it! Who knows—maybe after creating a few of these, you see that you have the framework for a self-published book or a new course!
Deliver It When They Need It
Harness Searchie’s new powerful audience attributes paired with Searchie’s segmentation capabilities to deliver these offers when the time is right.

Here’s how it might work: you have a course, then make an upsell offer to another product once your users reach a given milestone in the course. So, let’s say you have modules in your course. Once they finish watching module 2, you show them the offer for a checklist or something else (ideas above). Ideally, this offer is something that will help them make progress better, faster, easier.
Audience segmentation is where all the behind-the-scenes magic happens with this option. You’ll use the new Hub Activity/Has Completed option—then fill in whatever you want to include…in the following example, we’d select a playlist such as module 2 in the example above. Save the segment.
Then, inside your Hub, you’ll use this segment inside a section. The section will include your special offer—that, ideally, would link to another Searchie Hub to make it easy on you! The key here is to assign the audience segment to the section. So, only the people who have completed watching the playlist will be shown this section with the offer. In the example, the feature section “special offer” will be seen by the test segment (people who finished the playlist Module 2). Isn’t that cool?
How I Use Digital Products with Searchie
I created a digital product in Searchie called the FREE Searchie Starter Kit as a lead magnet. It’s packed with value—including Searchie Canva templates that I designed myself. This is a powerful list-builder for me, as it delivers me the addresses of prospects who are interested in getting started in Searchie!
Whether you’re scaling your online business with a Searchie course, membership, or coaching program, or adding value and profit with a digital product, I’m here to help. I can lighten the load for you with my guided Hub templates or by creating your Hub for you in my VIP experience.
